1. Register to vote. There may be a deadline, so check the Malaysia Election Commission (SPR) website for your state or region.
2. Find out who all of the ‘calon parti pilihanraya’ are. Find out who is available to vote for. This way if you know who the ‘calon parti pilihanraya’ are, you can start to list things they say they will do. Pay particular attention to what they have already actually done. Words do not count for much.
3. Ask yourself which issues matter to you most. (subsidi? harga minyak? ISA? pembangunan? pendidikan?)

9. Decide on whom to vote for. Once you have the final two ‘calon parti pilihanraya’ you’d like to vote for, decide. Who says they will do and make things you need or use better?
